Standard of Conduct

We have provided these standards to make camp life both SAFE and ENJOYABLE for our staff and guests. Failure to adhere to these standards will result in discipline or dismissal.
  •  Each camper planning to stay at the camp must register prior going to their designated dorm or cabin.
  •  Campers are required to be in cabins, Devotions completed, and quiet by 11:00 pm.
  •  No daytime only campers are allowed
RESPECT The cabin unit is an opportunity to learn to behave appropriately in a group and
ultimately in society. The rights and privileges of others are to be respected at all times. While at Florida Youth Charge it is imperative that all guests show respect and obedience to those who have been given the responsibility to care for them.

LANGUAGE - BODY CONTACT
The Florida Youth Charge is a Christ-centered ministry. Language and behavior which are offensive to Christ and His servants is subject to discipline or removal from the retreat. This includes inappropriate body contact (holding hands).

RESPECT OF PROPERTY
The Florida Youth Charge facility belongs to the Lord. Property that is destroyed either deliberately, or while being used without permission must be replaced or repaired by the guest or their family. Deliberate destruction of Camp property is grounds for dismissal without refund.

DRESS (RESPECT OF SELF)
The Florida Youth Charge is ministry based on Biblical principles. Proper attire shows your obedience to the Word and self respect. Guests are expected to be modestly dressed at all times according to the dress-code policy.

SAFETY AND SECURITY
No camper is to leave the ground without properly notifying the staff and such permission being granted. Florida Youth Charge guests are entitled to safety and security. Any action that threatens or endangers the safety or security of one's self or another is subject to discipline or removal from the grounds.
ITEMS NOT PERMITTED
The Florida Youth Charge is designed to give our guests a break from the world for the duration of their
stay. The following items are specifically to be kept in cabins: any Electronic device that plays music or cell phones.
ATTENDANCE The Florida Youth Charge requires that all campers attend all services and scheduled activities.

Dress code policy
STAFF UNIFORM: All staff will abide by all dress code policies.

NO SHORTS: Self-explanatory
SHIRTS: Shirts must cover the midriff at all times. Girls: Please do not wear shirts that reveal cleavage or undergarments (such as low v-neck shirts, tank tops & straps less). Immodestly tight shirts are also inappropriate.

SHOES: Everyone shall wear shoes while on the ground, in accordance with camp ground requirements. (Shower thongs are not shoes.)

BROTHERS:
PANTS/SHIRTS: Brothers: keep your sweat pants in the cabins; they are not to be worn in public. NO short pants. Shirts, same requirements that have been mentioned above, are to be worn properly; NO tank-tops, V-necks, Muscle shirts, or undershirts are to worn in public. Pajama clothing is not to be worn outside of sleeping areas which includes sweats pants.

SISTERS:
DRESSES/SKIRTS/ETC: The same requirements that have been mentioned above Shirts, Dresses and blouses must not show cleavage or midriff, NO low v-neck shirts, tank tops & straps less. Please have modest sleeves and necklines. No skirts or dresses with open splits or tight form fitting, no short pants. “Modesty” and “Humility” are Key words in dress in deed (1 Peter 3:3-4). Pajama clothing is not to be worn outside of sleeping areas which includes sweats pants.

JEWELRY: This is camp. Jewelry is inappropriate.

CLEANLINESS – CABIN CLEANUP
Personal neatness and cleanliness are of paramount importance. The highest standard of personal hygiene is expected at all times of all guests. Campers are expected to keep their rooms clean.
The staff will oversee the use laundry facilities at the place and time assigned. Use common courtesy--remove your clothes from the washers and dryers when finished. If someone has left their things in the machines, put them aside neatly. Do no throw them on the floor. Each staff member is responsible for the care and cleanliness of his/her cabins.
